All appointments are bulkbilled to see the Geriatrician or Nurse Practitioner.
Referrals are required for both Geriatrician and NP appointments.
Shepparton Private Hospital
The Parkinson's inpatient program at Shepparton Private Hospital takes a Multi Disciplinary Team approach. Initial assessments with Dr Bhattacharya, the Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian and Speech Pathology will allow an individualised program to be developed.
The aim of our program is to provide proactive care, and provide assessments and ongoing treatment plans from newly diagnosed to advanced PD.
Nurse Practitioner services
Nurse Practitioners are experienced in diagnosing and treating people of all ages with a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
NP's can:
- Diagnose and treat health conditions
- Design and implement therapeutic regimens
- Initiate and receive referrals from health professionals
- Order and interpret blood and radiology tests
- Prescribe medications
