Dr Arup Bhattacharya - Geriatrician

MRCP (UK), FRCP (Lond , Edin , Glasg) , FRACP.

  

Dr Arup Bhattacharya did his post graduate training in the UK and was a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician in Yorkshire, England. His special interest is in neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease and disorders of cognition.   He provides a comprehensive Movement Disorder (including advanced device – assisted therapies) service for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He also does cognitive assessments and provides specialist management for geriatric conditions.

Dr Bhattacharya holds the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). He is an examiner for the Fellowship examination of the RACP .

Ms Sheree Ambrosini - Nurse Practitioner

  

NP, MGer, GradDip AdvClin Nurs, BNurs


Sheree has over 20 years experience in Neurosciences.  Since graduating from Bachelor of Nursing she has had extensive experience working with progressive neurological conditions.  While working with a neurology and neurosurgical team in Melbourne Sheree completed a Post Graduate degree in Advanced Clinical Nursing - Neurosciences.  Then went on to complete a Master of Gerontology and Master of Nursing Practice, Nurse Practitioner.

Sheree has presented nationally and locally to strengthen the knowledge of Parkinson's disease, and was recognised by the Victorian Rural Health Awards, being awarded the 2019 Rural Nurse Award.

 Specialising in Parkinson's disease, Gerontology, Device Assisted Therapies for Parkinson's disease and mobile health technology.  Clinic visits, home visits and RACF assessments available.


Ms Anna lucchesi - Physiotherapist

BSc (Hon) Physiotherapy

Anna graduated with first class Honours in Physiotherapy from the University of Notre Dame Fremantle in Perth, WA.

Since graduating Anna has focused on neurological physiotherapy as well as falls and falls prevention.  

Anna has completed specialised courses in neurological physiotherapy and movement disorders as well as other relevant trainings such as the Nordic Walking instructor course.

Anna's aim is to give you as many tools as possible so you can become independent with your self management and achieve your own goals by providing local high quality evidence based physiotherapy.

Anna coordinates physiotherapy for the Parkinson's inpatient program at SPH, as well as providing one on one sessions, group sessions and Nordic Walking to the public.
